Model Variable

A model variable is used to connect settings of different objects in the model, i.e. provides an easy way of changing several settings at once. Model variables can be either of integer or real data type.

Like other object and variant-settings (e.g. data type and value) are changed in the Property panel.

Model variables can be combined with mathematical operators (e.g. +, -, *, /) and functions into a formula much like the formulas of objectives, custom outputs and constraints.

Note: Model variables are variables defined in the Variable panel and are not to be confused with input and output-variables of an optimization, even though they can also be added as inputs to an optimization.

Note: Model variables doesn't support boolean data type and thus cannot be used for boolean settings.

Settings

Settings of model variables are listed below along with a short description and possibly a link to a more detailed description about the setting.

Setting

Description

Name
