Creation

The creation setting contains information about the creation of variants. The information decides in what sequence and at what times variants should be created.

The input-field of the creation setting contain a string representing all sub-settings of the creation setting. The sub-settings are shown by expanding the creation setting using the +-symbol to the left of the creation setting. The list below gives more details on the sub-settings of the creation setting.

Note: Selecting a certain value of a sub-setting can disable or restrict the options of one or several other sub-settings.

Sub-setting

Description

Type

Inter arrival: Variants will be created with a certain interval between them. The interval is set as a distribution in the sub-setting interval.

Delivery table: Variants will be created at precise times according to the settings of the delivery table found under the sub-setting variants.

Limit

Number: The total amount of variants that should be created will be decided by a number set in the sub-setting number.

Time: The amount of variants that will be created is set by the sub-settings start/stop/interval.

Note: Enabled when sub-setting type = inter arrival.

Variants

A table containing information about what variants that should be created. An editor in which the table is setup is reached by the ...-button at the end of the input-field. Detailed information about this table is found here.

Batch Amount

Boolean stating if the amount specified on each row in the Variants table should be created simultaneously (True) or one at a time (False) at each time Interval.

Note: Enabled when sub-setting type = inter arrival and Variants table is a sequence table..

Batch Table

Boolean stating if the entire Variants table should be created simultaneously (True) or not (False) at each time Interval.

Note: Enabled when sub-setting type = inter arrival and Variants table is a sequence table..

Cyclic

Boolean stating if the creation of variants should start at the beginning (true) of the variants table or not (false) once the end of the table is reached.

Note: Enabled when sub-setting type = inter arrival and variants table is a sequence table, and always true when sub-setting limit = number.

Start

Sets the time when the creation of variants should start. Can be at a constant or random time specified by the distribution in the input-field.

Note: Enabled when sub-settings type = inter arrival and limit = time..

Stop

Sets the time when the creation of variants should stop. Can be at a constant or random time after the start and is specified by the distribution in the input-field.

Note: Setting the stop time to 0 (Distribution: Constant, Value: 0) will cause the object to create variants as long as the model or other settings permits it..

Note: Enabled when sub-settings type = inter arrival and limit = time..

Interval

Sets the time that should pass between the creation of variants. Can be constant or random times between the start and stop and is specified by the distribution in the input-field.

Note: Setting the interval time to 0 (Distribution: Constant, Value: 0) is used to model infinite supply of variants, i.e. as soon as a variant can be released in the model it is..

Note: Enabled when sub-setting type = inter arrival.

Number

Sets the amount of variants that should be created.

Note: Enabled when sub-setting type = inter arrival and limit = number..
